Does anyone know the policy of ex employees coming In is it allowed?

Seems to happen alot , the only reason I went back to my office after I've left was basically say goodbye to everyone. I certainly ain't going back ever again , good riddance RM.

I would never want to go back to my old office,not in any way because of the posties as they were a great bunch,I would just not want to see them pair again.

Why would there be a policy?

If they have left then they are members of the public.

Normal 'customers'.

Some of ours come in on a Saturday to prep d2d for the following week.

The "policy" is you need to have a valid ID to be on RM premises.
If they don't have the necessary ID then they shouldn't be there.

The "policy" is anyone without visible ID should be challenged and if necessary asked to leave.

If they left on good terms the there’s usually no issues with them coming in to see their old work mates. Out manager asks if they could come in around break time so they don’t distract the staff. Usually there’s no issues with it

I think I know what your getting at AC. We used to have a right obnoxious bastard that used to turn up on a nearly daily basis. At first he did have a semi-genuine reason, because he used to collect the Lottery money for his syndicate (not that I trusted the dodgy bastard). That reason ended when he handed over that responsibility, but he still keep coming in, I think because he'd retired he basically had nothing else to do. Sad.

He was just getting in the way, sitting on the frames, when everyone was trying to prep their walks (that's a good point about the DOM asking them to visit during a Tea Break). He also wasn't as popular as he thought he was...... he was basically one of those Godshites who makes everyones life a misery first thing in the morning (again a good point made about being glad to see a retired postie IF he was a popular guy). Didn't need any Management decision in this case, after a while he was just told to "Go Home and enjoy your Retirement"........ although some colleagues didn't put it quite like that.

Most managers seem to turn a blind eye, but they shouldn't. An unauthorised visitor has security and H&S implications and any problems will certainly come back and bite the manger's a*se.

Never happened yet even though they freely know about it but with a Teflon ass you can get away with it theses days!
