This only applys to full timers then, as part timmers dont get to work untill 9.30 when WTL is over and everybody has already left to do their rounds.

Same in my office. Been to a couple of WTL's in ten years, but never seen a video.

And for that I'm thankful.

Yes WTL should be built into your duty content and give you the oportunity to have a 20minute nap along with others.

I believe that 20 mins built into your duty is to give you the opportunity to do lapsing now. Isn't it? Lol

Don't know if it's built into duty on a Tuesday, but my manager tends to have a general 'huddle' (but involving everybody) on a Saturday. For some reason he seems to think that Saturdays are easy. He has meetings and expects lapsing done.

I've raised this with the rep. I reckon the figures are skewed on a Saturday due to businesses being closed. It's an easy day for those with a lot of businesses but for everyone else it's just like an average wed thurs and fri. Manager just looks at figures for whole office, not individual duties.

We have ours religiously every tuesday. We have to sign a sheet to say we attended and watched the video. The videos show some fantasy delivery office where everything runs perfectly, they have plenty of time to complete their work and everyone wears a smile on their face. It bears little resemblance to what ACTUALLY goes on in most delivery offices. Everyone just laughs and takes the p1ss out of it.

Have you noticed that very few staff about whilst shooting the video if you look very carefully you can see the biscuit crumbs on their ironed lapels not that I have anything against managers performing OPG jobs but at least put a disclaimer before this as these people are actors or useless managers at best!

I have never even heard of work time learning. No videos are shown in our DO. Whether the videos are useful or pure fantasy isn't the point - there should be evidence of a commitment to the development of all staff, shouldn't there? If there was a group get together like that then common issues and experiences could be shared, making you feel less alone. There is nothing of this nature in my DO. It is quite a bleak, soul destroying place to work.

They all are , it's only a great job when you're outside , away from the fatuous management muppets.
