Redundancy Packages

Hi does anyone know if there are any redundancy options in the near future for 50 year olds - if so any idea on packages available? Thanks

VR tends to be offered on an office by office basis as part of a revision or other money saving process. If that isn't happening in your office then there's not much chance of getting it. Plus many offices are currently understaffed!

There may be opportunities in the future depending on what RM's plans are for duty structure. But bear in mind they've had their fingers burnt in the past, where they've handed out VR and then ended up employing someone else on the same contract and so wasted the money. So don't expect it to happen as readily as it has before.

Terms for VR are still upto a maximum of 104 weeks pay, depending on age and length of service. You can use the ready reckoner on this thread to work out how much you might get.

If VR is an option at your office, it should be done on a seniority basis.

Even if they are offered, they aren't usually available to PT staff in Delivery.
