Duty on Board Advertised at FT

If I sign for a duty on the board that is advertised as FT but I'm on a 35 hr contract, should my contract then be adjusted to 38hrs?

I'm a bit concerned about this passage in the Four pillars agreement:

New full time employees from October 2018, recruited either from existing employees or new recruits in the core
OPG grade, will be on a 35 hour week at the current hourly basic pay rate with pro-rata allowances aligned to the
current full-time conditioned hours. Additional hours performed through overtime or scheduled attendance for
those employees on this new contract will be paid at single rate overtime until the total hours worked align to that
of our current full time contracted employees. This will be adjusted as we progress through the SWW flightpath.

I've not officially signed for this duty but been told verbally it's mine. Been on it for over a year and it's a fulltime walk. My contract is 35 hours so they just changed the duty to 35 hours. Just to add I don't do any sorting I come in too a empty frame and just chuck that in.

Well it's now a part time walk. If you don't work 38 the from next month your part time. All the new starts are not starting on 35hrs as Ipswich have been advertising for 2x37hrs just recently and one of 39. I have noticed that in the Ipswich area, they do tend to offer a lot of full time or near to full time a hell of a lot more than other areas. The worst being the EX and BN postcode areas who are wanting 15hrs or 18hrs and we already know that the rest will be made up with docket except for holidays or sickness. What's going on with the reps in they areas. They don't answer. :arrrghhh

At present 39 hours is considered full-time - by definition anything below is considered part-time.
I agree that from October anyone below 38 will still be part-time.

However the managers briefing pack states;
"From October 2018, new full-time colleagues will be recruited on a 35-hour week"

The four pillars states;
"OPG grade, will be on a 35 hour week at the current hourly basic pay rate with pro-rata allowances aligned to the current full-time conditioned hours".

So we have "new full-time colleagues" being classed as full-time on 35 hours - but in the Four pillars > OPG grade will be only offered a maximum of a 35 hour week .. aligned to full-time - which I believe is a distinction that recognises 35 hours are still part-time.

Rogersh, yes mate and I agree with you. It's another classic case of RM having to many graduates and they give them a project to justify, or try, their wages and it's one f..k up to another. One of my sister's works in RM and they have been looking for new staff for the personnel felt as it's in a mess. They are also looking for jobcoach managers to try and turn hundreds of the 1367 delivery offices that are failing. Why don't they just sack them instead of the usual bullshit of moving them to another office to start the carnage and mayhem all over again. That's how much belief they have in the frontline DOMS and LINOS. Nought, haha. :nana
