Pay rise after 6 months?
Hi all. It’s been 6 months and I haven’t had my contractual pay rise, I know we had one back in May of about 50p hour on contracts, but I should have gotten another one now after 6 months surely?

Are you on your 26th or 27th week just now? Have you had time off sick?Wolf91 wrote:Hi all. It’s been 6 months and I haven’t had my contractual pay rise, I know we had one back in May of about 50p hour on contracts, but I should have gotten another one now after 6 months surely?

Not week in arrears, but first might not count if not full week. But usually done automatically and no sick won't affect, it's not like u got paid lol. Quick ring with hr might help, probably something your managers not done/signed more likely.

Your increase would have been on the Friday of your 27th week as we don’t work a week in arrears.

Here’s a link to the National Attendance Agreement, Page 6 states that a stage 1 prompt is triggered when a trialist has either 2 separate absences or 7 consecutive days in a 6 month period. Your manager should have issued you with the stage warning after the return from your second absence though, so get your rep involved to try and overturn it if this is the case. Failing this you’ll have to wait until your stage is cleared before your pay increases.
Hope this helps.

Pay rise after 6 months?
Right okay. I was aware of being on a stage one for two separate absences after I joined. They were 4-5 months ago now. I’ve been there 6.5 months now approx. Any idea when this will clear? I didn’t realise I had to wait like this.

Looking at the Attendance Procedure for triallists it says 1 more absence in a 2 month period triggers a stage 2 review, so I would imagine it should have cleared after 2 months. However, non-triallists take 6 months to clear a stage review so I would check with your manager or HR.Wolf91 wrote:Right okay.
