RM/CWU Joint Statement Collections – Shorter Working Week
Introduction October 2018
Royal Mail and the CWU are working together to deploy the significant joint commitments contained within
the Guiding Principles of Employment Security and Mutual Interest Approach, which include a review of
current resourcing practices within all functions. This included the provision of a framework and guidelines
for the necessary resource realignment activity to deliver the 1st hour reduction in the working week in
October 2018, which for Collection Hubs/Units was contained within sections 16.2.3.
Using the above template local discussions should agree the necessary actions required to ensure that the
reduction in the working week is implemented in full at all sites on 1st October 2018
