I think the idea is that the results of the trials will form the basis of a new delivery agreement that will be negotiated and put to the members in 2019.

In our office we are only getting 50 Mins off the week, they are doing this by taking 30 Mins off the Saturday start time and keeping the finish time the same as now. This means that our Saturday attendance time will drop below 7 hrs, meaning we are only entitled to 30 Mins break rather than 40 therefore effectivly clawing back 10 mins of the hour.

and more worrying is that the sh'it will hit the fan and we'll be left high and dry by the agreement, the reps will be no where to be seen, as it is now really!
and then left with individuals arguing after most have already left after relinquishing their paid break they'll moan about losing just to complete 15 minutes late
i despair with with our cwu back up, but most members don't back them either, chicken and the egg syndrome
what is needed is a 100% union backed strategy for no management to do our work (unless regs say otherwise), no ghost overtime, all meal relief to be taken with no exceptions,
if just those 3 which cannot be construed as a form of industrial action were recommended by the cwu chiefs and backed up by us it would hit RM hard
by all means do overtime, early starts or late finishing, but force us to only get paid what we actually work and a zero tolerance on management insisting some are inefficient now and threatening members
will it happen?

Oooh sneaky! Of course , if you go over by 10 mins, you'll get it back in overtime. So 10 mins actually over will be 20 with the extra break time.

We didn't.
The negotiations went on between acting rep and DOM and we were told what would be happening, we usually have a Union meeting and vote over proposals but not this time.

Any postie could have told you that trying to sort letters in a stack on the bench rather than using our sorting frames which are the optimum tool for doing the job is going to take much longer and be incredibly stressful. The trials are not due to end until January next year so those poor ******** are going to have to deal with Xmas as well using incredibly bad prep methods. The larger question is will RM be willing to eat their hat and acknowledge that their ' don't prep the mech ' concept is a massive fail idea.
