Had to bring bags back

Had a bad day today got told to lapsing 1st so maid us late to walk one bag in my van buddy had to go home leaving me with two walks was told we will get some one out to help you came 2pm still no help so taken 6 bags back but no manager there to tell

They’ll probably hit you with the old ‘delay of mail’ and ‘cut off procedure’ bollocks.
Go have a word with your union rep in the morning and make them aware.

In my eyes, management knew you were on your own. They planned help that never arrived so they knew the work wouldn’t get done.

You did everything required of you. You informed management of the circumstances, they didn't follow up on their promise to send a helper and no way should you be tackling two full deliveries. Ask a colleague to witness any interview they may pull you in for but I reckon you have nothing to answer for.

Nothing will happen. You told them, they said they'd get somebody out and they didn't. They can't expect somebody to take virtually two walks plus lapsing on your own.

All depends if you had witnesses otherwise they'll deny they said anything to you about helping.

And your working life should, now he knows you're not a soft touch and won't be pressured, be a lot easier as he'll now pick on easier prey

I'm guessing that nothing happened. Only that the mail was put back in the frame and some unlucky sod has had to go out and deliver two days worth of mail and packets??

And if this is the case, then managers i.e. the DOM should be held directly accountable for their actions
