Transfers

I applied for a job at another office today.

Got an email back an hour later saying that if emailed back accepting to work more hours then my transfer will be completed within 28 days.

My DON can be right awkward. What are the chances he can stop this from happening. Been trying to transfer for a while?

can't stop it but if DOM is awkward as you say could delay it provided a good reason is given. Current staffing levels, long term absences, excessive O/T budget, disciplinary record ( if Any)

Can sickness record affect it? On a stage one.

Would be cluthcing at straws to stop transfer for a stage 1.
What I gave was a realistic view and it would be up to the two managers to reach a mutual agreement when the date for the tranfer is applied.

He can't stop it.

He gets 28 days to get the whole thing sorted and you moved over to your new office, and if he drags his feet... you go back to HR and they will give him a kick up the arse.
