Hi,
I have been told the union has gone to a stage 3 disagreement with the
the Royal mail taking days leave of the staff ,in the Red weather warning?

Has every one lost leave when they were snowed in??

What I would like to see is the union finding some backbone and threatening legal action on behalf of its members for placing staff at risk during a red alert knowing full well that there was no work available in these affected offices due to the mailcentre closing the day before.

That's basic negligence.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Some comments really astound me. Throw the dummy out the pram. We don't all live in the same area, some could make it others couldn't. Unbelievable and immature. :hmmmm

I lost a day. Taken from my holiday entitlement. I couldn't make it in due to my son being off school and having no one to look after him. Everyone who made it in to work was sent home 25 mins into shift.

Well done Royal Mail. :arrrghhh

Even though we didn't have a red warning here, the roads and pavements were lethal

The general rule is if you can't get to your own DO or the nearest RM office then you don't get paid. But red weather warning days are a very rare occurrence so I would say RM should waive the general rule for the areas concerned.
