if you are in the union, call Unionline on 0300 333 0303

they will offer the best advice.

Other than that, you have three months minus one day from the date of the last act you wish to take to tribunal to lodge a claim.

If you have timed out, you won't get very far I'm afraid.

Before you progress to an Employment Tribunal the first thing to be considered if you have exhausted all the procedures to rectify your problem internally or this could have a bearing on your compensation claim being reduced.
As you have stated that you have not been dismissed then obviously it is not an unfair dismissal claim and this will be recorded on the completion of an ET1.
It would be best practice to contact a solicitor who deals in employment law cases who will advise you if your complaint will have a reasonable success in winning and assist in the completion of the ET1 and the relevant enployment act your complaint covers or the primary employment office to whom the ET1 was sent may reject your claim before it gets started.
If accepted there are various stages to overcome before going to a final hearing with a judge or sometimes a panel of 3 consisting of a chairman, a layperson and another
You will have conference calls which is a telephone 3 way link up involviing the complainant, respondant and employement chairman to have your complaint resolved before progressing to a preliminaary hearing or final hearing.
The trubunal will in order to save expenses will want the complaint to be settled before a full blown hearing and in the 3 month regulation will stop /start the clock that you have endeavoured to reach a settlement which includes the introduction of ACAS.
That is about the nuts and bolts of it.

Grievance, ACAS early consultation, ET1 form filled out with unionline advice.
CWU legal services will represent you if they think you have over a 51% chance of winning.

Royal Mail settle 99% (top of my bead I don’t know the exact figure but it’s very High) of cases. Some even just a couple of days before. They don’t want it heard pubically

It's under 30%.
They don't need to settle as they get the union to do that for them.
They have huge law firms on retainer charging £200 for a 12 minute phone call to RM.
They don't give a shite about publicity as the have plenty of spin merchants at their disposal for any posties who actually win in tribunal and any newspaper guy can be usually bought off or will write a nice piece explaining how your a nutjob and got away with it because the judge was bent which is rather ironic on how bent the tribunal system is and how under handed they are at handling their casework.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
