Ours does, but manager seems to ignore/change everything discussed. Rep constantly arguing with manager.

That's why i think our rep doesn't even do the resource meetings and the managers love it.
The managers in my office doesn't even give a stuff about local agreements or national agreements.
they dont give a s**t about the union and this sounds like a UK problem.
And the manager just palms of area rep asswell .

Resourcing is done to budget not workload....
So no point having resourcing meeting then cause the following week they change it again for there budget when someone else phones in sick ...
No point in the meeting then.
My thoughts were meeting was for following weeks workload ???
So shouldn't they the following week as agreed the week before Lapsing etc stay the same ?
Nope managers rip up what was agreed before and lapse more stuff and don't offer out overtime ....
Bosses don't respect that weeks workload what was agreed

In our MC, any duty that is vacant, or the duty holder isn't available (off sick, holiday etc) the duty is always lapsed

In the new agreement 13 week work plan etc going forward etc more flexibility for short notice days off.
Can't even stick to a 1 week plan the now.

As for days of people in my work applied for days off 9 months ago and never got them the week before going on holiday .
Manager's not signing days of till last minute to see sick leave .
Company's going to the dogs and the cwu turning a blind eye ....

Not a UK problem.
In my patch the resourcing is done to predicted workload and not budget. The work is counted in each DO as it arrives from the MC as we cannot trust their figures or the forecast workload. Then the absorption is adjusted on the day. If the traffic is over forecast the absorption is reduced if the traffic arrival is below forecast then it maybe increased but only by agreement with unit Rep.We do not absorb to sick or absence only to workload/traffic. We do not move people off duties they can only absorb vacant duties. No vacancies no absorption. You have to make them give a s@@t about the union as a collective ie the whole unit acts as one. After th resource meeting and the duties and agreed absorption plan has been agreed they should be displayed asap and no changes are made unless agreed with the rep of the office. Last but not least this union is worth its salt.We have some big changes coming to deal with increased mechanisation, new products, new ways of working and all in the face of declining workload. There are many, many reps out there that do a great job whist dealing with managers that want to take us on at every opportunity and it is far from an easy task. Some decisions in the future will be based on actual facts ie with the introduction of PDA actuals. So the membership need to be prepared for some harsh choices.

Lol
Do a poll. How many offices lapse extra duty when someone phones sick. Its the norm.
