Public holiday

13 th July in Northern Ireland was a holiday last week, all the part time staff in our office were put down as day off on the Friday. We assumed we wud get paid that day out of our annual leave as that had been the case in previous years. This year they say we r not entitled to be paid as it was our week day off. Anybody know if that’s correct ?

They are pulling a fast one. If your day off falls on a Bank/public holiday then you have 3 options:
1: you can request another day off that week
2: you can be paid the hours for it
3: you can have the day added to you annual leave

13th July here they are saying is not a bank/public holiday as such but a non working day that comes out of your holiday entitlement if u r meant to be working. Shafted and lied to on a constant basis in this company.

Culture change my arse!!!! This company is incredible sometimes management seem to do what they like
