SUMMER SCHEDULING
This is perhaps the worst thing in the agreement for who want's to work 9 hour day's at the end of the week and then just when you could do with a week's leave just before christmas next year you can't becuase all the leave reserve's where made redundent in april 2008!. From now on all your annual leave must be in the summer so the six people in your "team" will cover each other no leave when their is any pressure. For this is the future in royalmail you will be worked to death even if you do your job properly!.

OK i will explain summer sheduleing "royalmail belivie's you all finnish 2 hour's early in the summer hence they would get 5 postmen to cover six duty's thus if you all had leave in the summer you could cover each other's leave hence no leave out side summer for what ever reson wedding holliday to australia anything. HOW would they save money you may well ask they will make all leave reserve's redundent before the new annual leave year start's.nelson wrote:?????????????. Alright mate I think he/she means banking hours where on the shorter days not that you get good days anymore and your dim believes you can finish early they want to say bank hours so when its heavy and you go over they dont have to pay overtime.
You mentioned on taking these banked hours as leave now i may be wrong but i dont think you will be allowed to bank sufficient hours to take time off ie if you work 8 hours over you will be allowed to take one days extra leave.
Also say you do come back late one day and there is no Dim there how do you prove you went an hour over and of course the flip side is on that supposed light day what happenes if they say you should be able to finish an hour early do you cut off if you have not finished.
A very dodgy road to go down.

Agree, this whole flexibility thing is all about job losses. If (God, I hope not) this comes in, it will be cut after cut after cut. Reserves first, then full timers, then RM will have 75-80,000 part-timers doing the jobs of 175,000. Then we will be privatised and sold off to the lowest bidder. Al and Ad will make a bloody mint.k979aaa wrote:Summer sheduleing is about getting leave reserve's down the road fullstop maybe not all but most!.:cfo & :lfo

Right on Oxboy. If the half-wits in their cars stopped to think we would have a much stronger position to negotiate when RM start ripping hours out of offices. Sadly the "I'm alright Jack brigade" won't be told. They're in for a shock when Job n' Finish goes though. Trouble is it will be too late and saying to these idiots: "I TOLD YOU SO" won't bring the hours back.oxboy wrote:The prob is mate with people coming in early taking cars and coming back to the office early on the supposedly heavier days they believe the light periods we have its acceptible to think we might make time.
Lets be honest we still have people in all offices who still are killing the jobs.
