As a shareholder you are entitled to vote on various matters - that is a link to the list of items you could vote on.
Vote with your shares means just that because you have shares you can vote. You don't surrender your shares by voting, they remain yours till you sell them.

Voting on shareholder AGMs is one arena where your vote actually does count so you should always do it. At the very least you should have voted no to Moya Greene continuing to be a director. Voting on general elections on the other hand is generally ineffective unless you are in one of few areas where a swing can happen.
