Locking posties in building

In our office we have some posties who start at 610 and some that start at 630, the doors are being locked after 610 and reopened at 6.25, is this not a health and safety issue?

Are there fire doors which can be opened from the inside?

Yeah there are which usually are open in this weather but they must remain shut until after 6.30 as well

More like locking posties out to stop them starting early.

Surely the 6:30 starters would just go in at 6:10 ?

The fire doors would have an instant release bar and provided the posties who have been in the building from 6.10 am have been instructed on the quickest escape route to access these doors would more than likely be the answer from RM on the H&S.

We've had a few locked in the building when the DOMs gone home.
