Even though it may seem like rubbish the business can use the advice of an EHS nurse to suggest suitable work for someone even with a sick note off a qualified GP, however once you are back at work any reoccurrence of your problem(s) would be your manager responsibility (failing to attend a EHS meeting could lead to RM stopping pay)
First and Foremost, Royal Fail work on the assumption that you have a "good doctor " and you're guilty of malingering unless it can be proved otherwise .
To make this "look straight " they use so called "Occupational Physicians " that are "supposed " to know your job and what you can't or can do ,better than NHS Employed Doctors or Consultants .
To quote one ambitious idiot in a Central Lancs Zoo "ATOS Origin will overule your Doctor/Consultant & we'll have some work out of you "
You have to give Permission for Medical Records to go over to ATOS and attend appointments otherwise Royal Fail will have you for unauthorised absence , stop your pay and take you down Cof C .
I've seen one Manager have someone for missing a ATOS appointment , then there was the "fact finding interviews " , on one ;a line manager when walking away ( RM don't class this as Harassment or Abuse as apparently you can't prove it was directed at you ! WTF ? } call a member a "F*****g P**i " . The member put his hand on his wrist and ask him "What did you call me ?" .
The manager shouted out to a acting manager "J**n did you see this ?" , the member was suspended on a assault charge , it took weeks to get him back . That "Manager " laid it on too thick with lurid tales of a member beating him up that couldn't be proven .
Ironically that manager as a PHG in the loading bay should have been sacked for having someone by the throat but his Father { now retired } Black J**k begged the MCM to keep his job. A BNP member too allegedly but that's no surprise .
