Stopped Sick Pay

Post by rjay87 »

Hi, I'm on sick leave and was keeping in contact via weekly email as phoning wasnt really an option, I had letters to go to meetings which again wasnt an option so I asked to be referred to OHS. I had my sick pay stopped, had my referal 1.5 months later which agreed that email contact was fine as long as its kept to a minimum. It took them 2.5 more months to start my sick pay again so in total it was 17 weeks without pay.

My question is should I have been backpaid all the weeks I got nothing since I asked a few times for OHS but they just didnt do it and OHS agreed with what I was saying to manager?

Thanks in advance

Take them to employment tribunal for unlawful deduction of pay.

either phone him, or go higher if you get no satisfaction. get in touch with branch/div rep/ or even HQ if necessary. it your pay they are messing with. not sure if what they are doing is even legal given the circumstances.!!

Tried to do similar thing to me a few years ago , got area rep involved and he sorted it all out. Good luck don't let them grind you down.

In all of the instances where the area were involved what happened to the Dom ? Let me guess, does it begin with f**k and end in all? I remember a letter template floating around that involved HMRC and seemed to expedite matters accompanied by the sounds of squeaking rectums.
"A third of the world's farmland is now useless due to soil degradation, yet we still keep producing mouths to feed. And what's you answer to that? Energy saving lightbulbs?"

Any idea about that template letter? I havent had any reply from area rep for long while and last time he said my dom just wasnt doing anything about it. Been given ihr but dunno whether I'm entitled to ask for the back pay to be included or whether to just leave it with all the hassle even though I'm pissed that RM stopped my pay which seriously compromised my living conditions

My ihr paperwork in coming anytime though so I wasnt sure if I should just email my dom and say I want this taking into consideration with it or I dont sign and will be taking legal action afterwords but its a right nightmare how they just ignore it completely
