Postman, can a branch take over a local office by going against the wishes of that office members and there locally elected rep? An office close to you

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No

They can recommend you accept the offer but as far as I know, they can't overrule a ballot. To clarify you do mean agree to a proposal by RM, don't you? As if its only Union business then "Branch can take over a local office" as in run Union business, but the membership can let their feelings be known.
