Safety Audit
We had our safety audit today and the excitement was fever pitch to say the least in our office, but on my return from delivery I was told we had failed cataclysmicly!, I didn’t know weather ro laugh or cry I was devastated.the thought of not getting yet another meaningless certificate could take me to the edge,I joke but as usual last minute input too little too late by Dom,and a new guy in post that’s been shown practically nothing since taking over from the guy that had had enough and left,it’s no surprise, another tick box exercise, with no resources or time to address the issues, the guy didn’t find it funny, but then it highlights the poor training from above etc,we’re too busy delivery mail ,lapsing, loaning, moaning, good in theory I guess but am sure not much input except a day before when the Dom realises he’s done sweet nothing except cut our budget even more

It’s pointless because the DOMs get told in advance when an audit will take place. So then they start tidying the place up, handing out dog pegs and hi vis jackets for the big day, then when the auditor goes out the door everything goes back to the way it was.
