I started work in 1972, i worked in a factory and my first wage was £7-60p. If i had started at RM instead, what would the wage have been ? Just curios
I married my wife for her looks, but not the one she gave me when i said i was going to be a postman.

The average weekly wage in 1970 was £32 . At a guess £25 per week in1972and prob half that if you was a telegram boy.My first wage on Rm in 1982 was £86 basic with another £9 in allowances
