Being sent to other offices

Hi I have worked at royal mail since August on agency I got my contract a few weeks ago but I keep geting sent to work at other offices. Its hard because I don't know where I'm going on the rounds and sometimes they put me with a agency so I have to drive around and I have no clue about the roads. I spoke to a union rep but he said I can only tell them I'm working to my contracted time. It is a hour drive from my office and I have been late past my time twice this week is there anything I can do

Your union rep is a tit.

YES they can send you to another office. However, you can make yourself not an easy target in future by knowing a few things they clearly haven’t made known to you.
They MUST provide transport from your home office, where you are entitled to start at your regular start time, and entitled to be back at your home office at your regular finish time.

They will say well you have a car why don’t you drive it....most insurance policy’s only have you covered to and from your regular place of work. Your home office is now your regular place of work, and it’s your car so sucks to be them if you don’t want to drive it. However if you’re correctly insured and don’t mind using it you can claim 45p a mile.

Thanks for the reply they gave me a van to get up there and take another worker but I've only had a weeks van driving experience and I'm being sent out driving on dutys it's all unfamilia I am feeling anxious everyday. It's always been me they send

Well said..... It’s about time people knew about this.
