Summer lapsing

Been told our summer lapsing starts next week,seems very early,is this the same nationally?

We have been lapsing for a good few weeks now especially Tuesday and Saturday lol

Every day at our office too, for years, no matter how heavy it is. When you say you cant do it in the time given, they put someone on it on your rest day, that is in their 20s don't take their break, can get your round done on time and then the manager tells you , must be something your not doing right. Never mind that there is a 20 -30 year age gap. But is It really paying royal mail by doing this, I would say the sick levels have gone up. Posties doing the job for 20-30 + years with bad backs, hips, knees ect. Trying to go as fast as they can, so they can get all done and not be out there too much passed their time and called slow. Would rather be without the lapsing and if I finished by 20 minutes early, then pay me 20 minutes less.

Make sure if you're 'summer lapsing' that you negotiate extra leave slots, if your rep is not interested then get rid of him and get the area rep involved.

Summer lapsing! We used to do all year round lapsing! Think we had a greedy DOM who just wanted to make as much bonus for himself as possible!!

We haven't been told when summer lapsing starts yet. A long while back in our revision we incorporated double absorption plus more delivery points from two walks being dissolved. So there isn't that much spare capacity but I expect we will still be summer lapsing. As a result in previous years we get additional leave slots in July & August.
