If you were Area Rep and also sub IR Rep for an office, how would you efficiently run both at the same time?
Would it be that while you were carrying out the sub IR Rep role, you would go back to the floor and hand over your Area Rep role to the sub Area, or would you comfortably be able to do both at the same time?

I would imagine the sub rep position would go up advertised

It would make sense, but there's no rule to say you can't hold both positions, so just hypothesizing if someone wanted to do both, how should it work in the best interests of the members?

Holding both positions wouldn’t be in the best interests of the members.

Two scenarios.

Member needs a rep, not one in the office. Can’t get hold of the rep because they’re out at another office and not answering their phone.

Member needs a rep, one is in the office. Gets the help needed.

So, taking the long route round, the sub IR Rep should be on the floor fulfilling the same role as the IR Rep, which means he would be unable to fulfil his Area Rep duties, unless he hands those temporarily to his sub, which is the only scenario that would work, and any sensible person would know this
