Mail centre transfer

I have never ever seen the opportunity for a transfer to a mail sorting office on success factors.
Ideally I would transfer to a mail centre and work weekends only as that would be great for childcare.

Having just looked through the 26 pages of jobs on success factors there is everything from cleaners and workplace coach roles advertised to line managers and Lead Android designers but no jobs in Mail Centres ( except cleaners and managers)
This should surely be brought up by the union as there is a lot of evidence on here about the use of agency staff in MCs - so why can't anyone transfer to one, even if it was on a p/t contract?

In about a year of looking, I haven't seen anywhere advertising for jobs in the mail centres other than what you state above. So it's not just recently!

Aye, funny how many mail centres also have facilities likes gym's and canteens serving breakfast whilst most delivery offices are simply left to rot due to savings on the office budget.

Only larger MCs will have gyms. Canteen opening hours are probably limited in many MCs

How do you even get the job search to work on that site? I've put in my postcode and it keeps saying distance is not within selected country lol

its piss easy to get into the mail centre from our office. that's if you are or have been long term sick (been a few at ours). the DOM doesn't like people on light duties, doing ''kill offs'' or putting peoples D2Ds in. he goes out his way to get you in to the M/C. its strange how they can find work for people in these instances, but theres nowt available for transfers. .....not that I would ever think of going into one of those God forsaken places!!
