Work time learning
I wonder if anyone can help?,I'm currently involved in a heated row with our DOM over work time learning and duty hours,he has been giving 1 of our part timers grief over the hours they work and what is expected of them, the p/timer is on a 5 day 29 hour contract, the DOM says that after taking their break off that leaves them 5hrs 18 mins of work each day,I reckon that travelling time and 30 mins for worktime learning should also come off his remaining hours,we have no union rep at the minute and I cannot standby and let the DOM give this lad a hard time, thanks for any help.
For we were soldiers once, and young

Work time learning
Start and finish time should be at the office so yes traveling time does come out of his working hours. Work time learning should be included in this too if it falls within his working hours. If he is asked to come in early or outside of his hours to attend should be paid as over time or credited in owed time.
Union what Union? Do we have a union?
