Hi,
I am signed to a lapsed duty so have always worked the hours that duty has agreed. Usually means I get a bit of overtime here and there as difference to duty.
Just recently I've started refusing to go over as the workload is too much, now they are asking me to come in an hour later than the start time of the duty that I am signed to and expect me to finish later too.
As the duty is lapsed are they allowed to do this? U signed for that particular duty because the finish times were good for me.
Thanks

If you have signed and picked that particular job, you work the hours of that job. I'm sure if they decide to lapse the duty though after you picked it they have to offer you another duty in the office.

If at the time of signing you were made clearly aware that the duty is high on the list for being lapsed in the summer then basically you can be placed on a duty that the office operation requires but should try to accommodate you within the hours that you work but you will be at the beck and call of the office where you re most needed.

so you're expected to work an extra hour out on delivery then?
when & where do you take a break?
it's about time the cwu reps came up with a definitive answer to taking breaks once out,
i won't ever accept eating in the van as a official break and this keeps popping up on here now

The duty has always been lapsed, I signed for it just to go on a rotation and to have set hours. Most duties in the office finish later which is why they are asking me to come in later. Anyway I'm going in at my start time today not the time they have asked me
