Can't help but think the whole agreement was a sham from beginning to end. Here's a conspiracy theory.
1. Cause a panic shares go down
2. Buy shares at lower rate.
3. Announce all is fine shares go up.
4. Sell shares and cash in. £££

I won't vote because that is how the stock market works. Some of the stuff that happens is really crooked. The capitalist system is a broken system that likely won't be replaced in the near future.

It might not be perfect by any means ,but what do you replace it with? Socialism/communism? Venezuela is the best argument against socialism there is. Rule by plebiscite?

It is far from perfect when the tax payer is bailing out companies that know when they place a quote, that they will be unable to turn a profit, but knowing that a Tory government will bail them out in order to legitimise their relentless and reckless ambitions to sell off all of this countries assets. Their is a place for both public and private enterprise in society, however, when it comes to public services their is no place for private companies who are chosen the majority of the time on price and not for the quality of work or service that they will provide for the public.

So how much did you make then... if you "knew" the agreement "was a sham" you should have been well ahead of the game ? ? ?

Ultimately there has to be a belief that a business is "right" and on the right path for it's share price to improve. Everyone knows Royal Mail is still mega important and required... it's not rocket science

Then again share price is cyclical... No-one can ever really predict share price

You can predict the share price if you can manipulate the outcome.
Money makes money.
My assumption on the vote has in some part been made by the propaganda thrust upon us for a yes vote by our union who undoubtedly knew they would be taken to court and would lose. The agreement is only an agreement to appease RM and it's major shareholders. We've been stiched up into agreeing to more work and a complete change to our job description.
Clock in and out.
Pda assessing if your too quick=more work. Too slow=reviews and harassment.
Timed windows for tracked items.
Etc etc

I think you should just accept what happened. 9 out of 10 CWU members who had the gumption to vote found the agreement favourable. Just "let it go", you're in the minority my friend and all your pessimism and negativity is doing you, your colleagues and the business no favours.

Foretell of doom and gloom, apocalypse.and industrial mayhem and once everyone is suitably frightened settle for the doom and gloom.
Get the union to recommend the four pillars of doom and gloom, after all we're on the cusp of something.....

Of course it was all planned, the only thing the OP has wrong is the motive. It's nothing to do with manipulation of share price, it's just how a major employer and a weak union hierarchy intent on protecting its own position negotiate.

You have hit on a good idea we should all sell our shares vote to strike asap and use the money to rebuy them at a low price cash in vote to strike buy cash in until we have enough money to retire.
