Can you be forced into a weeks holiday with a couple days notice? You have no choice from the look of it.

would say no to just a couple of days notice, but they way its run these days, getting any in can be a challenge to quite a few
also i take it that you're on about too many carried over and they want them off the system as you should have picked your initial 4-6 weeks last year

As a general rule (in the big wide world beyond RM) notice should be at least twice as long as the leave to be taken.
I.e. A weeks leave should be advised/requested two weeks in advance
Like wise of the employer needs to cancel your leave, they should give notice at least twice as long as the leave you were due to take

When leave can and can’t be taken
Employers can:

tell their staff to take leave, for example bank holidays or Christmas
restrict when leave can be taken, for example at certain busy periods
There may be rules about this in the employment contract or it may be what normally happens in the workplace. The notice period for this is at least twice as long as the leave they want their staff to take.
