Part day sickness

Years ago we were told going home part day doesn’t count as a sickness
Is this still true?
What if I was at the office for only an hour? Still not count?

It may be changed in the latest agreement as the attendance procedure is up for renewal.
At present if you have signed on for your duty and in the space of minutes you feel unwell and advised your manager you are going home this will be recorded as a part day absence and not countable for absence calculation purposes.
If it is shown due to the amount of part day absences taken are being abused then you will have to receive in writing that further part day absences will be included but only until you have received a letter from management confirming this.
