Downloaded a copy, a very accurate account of life at Royal Mail, although set a few years ago it could be any delivery office in the uk. Except the b&h has got worse. The author is a bit up himself but if a copy of this was to be given to Royal Mail directors maybe they would have an incling of where they’re goin wrong.

Got this over the weekend and read it. It's okay, worth a read. Accurately depicts a lot of the problems and ball aches we face on a daily basis. Interesting to see things from management perspective too.

As stated above, the author comes across as a bit up himself and possessing an odd moral compass. Spends a lot of time as a postie gobbing off and swearing at members of the public and venerally being confrontational and then, as soon as he's a manager he's taking offence at any OPG who swears or stands up for themselves! Quelle surprise!

Then, possible spoiler ahead... As soon as he's a postie again he's suspended for being confrontational and rude to an old lady in the packet office.

It's a good portrait of a lot of what's wrong with RM, including posties such as the author thinking it's okay to tell people, no matter how chavlike or horrible they might be, to f**k off in front of old people.

In short, worth a read if you can pick up a cheap copy (mine will be on eBay soon

) and are or have been a postie. To anyone who hasn't it just makes us appear as a right old militant 'n 'orrible lot.....

I agree, I was a bit shocked by his attitude and unprofessional behaviour in front of the public...tut tut.
