Do I need to pass a driving assessment to get a driving vacancy. What does it entail.

You just need to show them your driving license, then you go out on the road with an assessor and it really is to see you can actually drive, nothing major just drive sensibly!

Yes, so it's only an hour you have to wear a seat belt, keep to the speed limit and observe all the other road traffic regulations.

You just need to explain to the examiner that as a RM driver you are exempt from all the laws that normal people have to follow.
So don't wear a seatbelt, don't abide by any speed restrictions, park where and when you like and drive the wrong way up a one way street and you will be fine.
