Shared van - overtime

Hi.
How do you handle working with someone who wants to do overtime every day, when you want / need to finish on time?
Every time I say I want to finish on time I get this glare from DOM / union rep and shared van colleague!

Either get out the van and walk back to the office for my finish time or get them to drop me back usually

Your driver drops you back at the office or the DOM gets someone to pick you up
If you get a glare from the Union rep , contact your Area rep because that's not on

What about Dom getting someone to pick you up and still ends up with you going over half an hour

It's not your fault if the person you share delivery with wants to do some overtime. Just ask them to drop you back at the office at end of duty. Shouldn't be a problem for them to do that.

It's the problem with this job i find. Everyone makes you feel guilty if you don't want to do overtime. Such a shame because apart from the bullying it's a good job.

Tell colleague who wants the overtime that driving other colleague back to office and then returning to delivery takes extra time, so extra overtime pay.. Win-win!

I've had this problem in the past and nothing makes the DOM more angry than having to send 1 of his minions out to collect you from delivery. The awkwardness in the van is always quite enjoyable though. Just work your contracted hours and moonwalk past the managers office as you leave knowing there is zero he can do

Started another round and working with someone else....No overtime needed, much happier.
