Hi does anyone know if it’s possible to ask for same day off every week due to childcare issues?

You would request flexible working by writing to the dom.
Speak with hr to get flexible working policy.
They can reject your request but have to follow the process.
They may suggest you become a reserve in order to accomadate your request.

we had someone in our DO that needed every tuesday off.
luckily they were a rest day cover so they would have the tuesday off and work the original day off.
all five of those effected agreed, so was lucky in that respect.

but if you don't ask you don't get.

i used to my lieu days to ask for 6 consecutive saturdays off, i didn't get any of them

I'm guessing the most senior posties have all the duties that have every saturday off? Like most things in Royal Mail, anything is possible if yer face fits!

If you want every Tuesday off then they may let you. Other than that it’s probably unlikely.
