We have a duty in our office that has been signed for by acting manager maybe 3 years ago and they have never actually done a single day on the duty / walk. As far as I’m aware they are actually employed as a postman but have been covering a managers position for a good few years now. So regardless of contract whatever it might be postman / manger / caller office can they keep hold of the walk ?
So my main question is If a walk holder has not been on the duty for a long period of time should it be taken off them allowing someone else to sign ?

Surely the acting manager should be an actual manager by now after 3 years of training... everything takes forever in this company.

As far as I'm aware all the acting management have had to apply for managing jobs under that recruitment drive, so there will be no more acting manager's if they are unsuccessfull they are back on the best :) big problems at our do we have four they find out in two weeks and we're told there jobs go up for signing after that

Can't even remember the last time we had an office resign or an individual walk go ''up on the board''... must be well over 10 years.
People just seem to get given duties by default with no process involved at all.
