No manager in office

Obviously alot of us are doing docket at the moment in an attempt to clear the back log. In our office people are getting back at all times however there seems to no management around after 3pm. Some are out to gone 6pm with no one monitoring whereabouts and other issues. Surely this is a health and safety issue ?

Our management "team" are usually gone by 1.30pm....and my office has a 3pm finish time. this has been happening day in, day out, for years. I was once sat in a pub on one of my Saturdays off and two of them walked in with their ID badges swinging around their necks at 11.50am to watch the football that kicked off at 12.30pm.

Surely there must be a manager of someone in charge of the office at that point for the collection staff.

Not in ours. Same as above, all gone by 2pm ,earlier on a Saturday. Locker staff take care of collection.

Managers are paid salary so I’m guessIng they don’t have official start or finish times. They’re there to make sure all the mail has gone out, once that’s done it’s a bit of admin work and they can go home.

In that case locker staff are responsible for H & S of collection staff so why would it be any different for people out on delivery at that time?

There should be a trained PIC who would know what to do in various emergencies.
