having spoken to a lot of posties in our area and beyond.im guessing its going to be a resounding NO vote .there is nothing in it that gives the delivery person any confidence whatsoever. its taken so long to come up with this,where is this [ cusp of something very special ] ???????

We argree with princess, my office has decided to vote no, we have no problems with the pay and pensions, we are happy to except new ways of working but what we need to see written down is a promise to end flex, lapsing or absorbing (what ever your office calls it) Knocking on doors takes so much longer than pushing letters through a letter box, it’s about time the CWU and Royal Mail excepted this.

Arnold and slinder , can you tell me if your times are changing,or if you have kids to pick up from school,back pay is ours anyway,dangle the ££££££s and the sheep will follow. pensions nothing concrete,pay with [ subject to whatever they want ] im all for non strikes ive been at the gate for all of them and got screwed everytime. NOT THIS TIME sorry!!!!!!

i'm still sat on the fence, my ignorance coupled with our reps advice who usually shares tea and biscuits with our very numerous dom's and his insistence that we've got a fantastic deal pending.
i asked him about the pension bumf options we've just got and he may be as thick as me and couldn't give the pros and cons on either, just to accept the default, this to me is bad advice, but to be fair to him, he's not a financial adviser and acting on senior cwu advice.
as for the "big brother" watching me, i've no issue with my work rate as now, the biggy is pensions for me as i know i'll struggle to do this job physically in 10 years.
it probably will get a big yes vote but how many know the reasons why?

just a thought on who it impacts most workwise.maybe delivery staff should have their own vote on THEIR JOB instead of others. it always seems to be delivery who gets shafted !!!!!

me personally 9 years till 60 and I am going as have no mortgage soon and by 60 my kids will be in there 20s ,had pension from last job which was pretty good so can draw that plus this one as well which is now a lot less than previously quoted which is why I vote no ,also job for 14 years is taking its toll and I know can’t do this in 60 s
