Six months after we were relegated to the FTSE 250, Royal Mail will re-enter the FTSE 100.
The FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 are indices, or lists, that together, make up the 350 biggest companies on the London Stock Exchange's main market. Their size is measured by market capitalisation. This is calculated by multiplying the total number of shares in the company by the share price.
Royal Mail lost its place in the FTSE 100 Index in September 2017 after our shares were driven lower by the possibility of industrial action on pay and pensions.
The market has responded positively as the risk of industrial action has faded and the terms of our agreement in principle with the CWU, subject to ballot, have become clear.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
