30 Hr Contract Help.....

Can someone please help me with how the 30 hr contract works, its just ive never had it explained to me, basically i work in a office with 5 weeks on, 1 week off, i don't get a rotating day off, so i work 6, 6 hour days but only get paid 5 hours a day.

Also has anyone been made up to 30 hrs verbally and not officially and as soon as you have your week off your paid what your original contracted hours are, even though my 3 month renewal has run out ?

I'm extremely confused, can anyone help

6 hrs per day x 6 days per week =36 hrs
36 hrs x 5 weeks = 180 hrs
180 hrs / 6 weeks = 30hrs
You get paid 30 hrs per week over 6 weeks and only work 5!

so a rest week in a sense isn't paid days off, as you have worked a additional 30 hours over 5 weeks ?

No...basically you're just not having your day off for 5 weeks so that you can have six in a row.
