Walksorted from Gatwick

Today in our delivery office not only does Gatwick cancel one of our vans that brings down our mail to the delivery office meaning we are waiting until 7.46am , they are now not giving us walksorted on the final van . They are just sending down Yorks of unsorted mail for us to sort making us even later out on delivery.
The mail Centre not bothering to sort the mail into walks is down to I presume lack of staff and cost cutting and adding the cost to the Delivery office ?
What is the point of having these sorting machines if we are not using them ??

No offices are mentioned but look for your local MC, the next column shows the last acceptance time , the following columns show the amount of offices with 0/15/30/45mins change that are supplied by that MC

Still nobody answered the question as to why Gatwick have stopped the 2nd walksorted trays and sent letters to the delivery offices to sort manually especially when we have less staff to sort

If you're referring to wave 2 of sequencing, afaik that's the way that RM want to go, there's a bit mentioned in the agreement (page it's on is mentioned in another thread) that RM want to do away with wave 2 of sequencing. With current staffing levels in MCs it wouldn't surprise me to see some DOs around the country occasionally get no sequenced mail at all

You may find so many people are on holiday/gone sick this week (half term) at the MC that there wasnt enough trained bodies to run the machine your walksort is normally put on.

we had 12 out sick out of 30 at our delivery office but the mail has to still go out

Casuals can put letter through doors with barely any training, they can't run an ILSM/IMP/CSS.
