A nra67 is a bad move on the part of the union, considering the cash balance scheme offered by RM was nra65. Negotiators have no idea what it is like for older workers, as many of you will find out eventually.

There was no mention on lapsing as far as I can make out. Union needs to sort this out. Set it out in simple terms. Need to be asked once and that's it. No bullying trying to force you to do it. Set out what the procedure should be from managers. Not the shambles it is now - easily abused by manipulative managers.

The CWU's WinRS proposal had an NRA of state pension age, which would be 68 for anyone born after 1971.

Lapsing is just an abused tool for manger's now to save money.
To get there bonus,
And if you can't do lapsing in your time cause you do the job correct they treat you like your scum.
What a company royal mail has become.

Instead of telling reps area reps about this new crap deal they should be forcing correct start times and using the correct equipment.

Then go back into talks
Get a deal for the real working class of royalmail

the unions stand on lapsing is if you have time at the end of your duty do it

that's with taking your meal break and using the correct tools for the job

What are peoples problems with lapsing? if you have time do it if you do not tell them or get authorised OT, the people that have problems are the runners that come in early, do not do vehicle checks, cut corners on delivery do not take a meal relief and finish 2 hrs before there official paid time.

Tensions?? I'll say!! That's about as close as this agreement proposal has got towards tackling B&H in just about any section and I've been through it a couple of times.

The problem with lapsing is that management don't just target their favourites ( the runners / Saturday off again ) boys but end up giving everyone extra even when they know it can't be done within the duty hours !

Then you come in next day and most of the office has claimed over time.

You shouldn’t have to constantly tell them you don’t have the time to do it, there should be a fairer system in place. Every day it’s the same conversation and makes you feel inadequate.

Yes the manager should do his/her job title and MANAGE IT the onus should be upon them bearing the fact they get bonuses upon savings made by us and their bonus is pensionable they could at least do something to earn it other than bullying and harassment and non payment of overtime!
