If you work in an office with say 100 staff and every1 is doing the same job is it fair that 80 out of the 100 get a long weekend every 4 weeks and the other 20 don't even though some of the 20 who don't have high seniority.
Is this not some form of discrimination on RM's part or secondary discrimination?

At first glance, it appears unfair. However its difficult to say with any certainty.trouble wrote:If you work in an office with say 100 staff and every1 is doing the same job is it fair that 80 out of the 100 get a long weekend every 4 weeks and the other 20 don't even though some of the 20 who don't have high seniority.

Duty structures, whether its the result of a repick vote in by the members, and other issues to numerous to mention will all have an effect, So without more background cant say either way.

Was a leave reserve for over ten years and hardly ever got any Saturdays off, never mind actual long weekends.
I did everything you could possibly do to change it but the union or management do not want to do anything about it.
I now have a one in four duty and think I derserve the weekends I’m now getting.
It is down to duty structure but Royal Mail and the union need to address leave reserves issues with this.
