Flu jab reimbursement programme

There has been an unprecedented rise in the number of flu cases. The deadly strain, dubbed ‘Aussie flu’ (Japanese flu is also an issue), is having a significant impact on the NHS.

In order to help colleagues and reduce pressure on the NHS, we will reimburse anyone who wishes to have a flu jab at a registered pharmaceutical outlet, for this winter period.

What you need to do

Visit a registered pharmaceutical outlet offering a flu jab, such as Boots, Asda and LloydsPharmacy, to name a few. You must get a valid receipt (up to a maximum of £13) and give this to your manager. They will process this and it will be refunded into your bank account
You are eligible for reimbursement of flu jab costs from 13 January 2018, providing you have a valid receipt
Please see your GP if symptoms don’t improve after seven days.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and offer further advice when required.

Tips to help reduce the risk of flu

Wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water
Regularly clean surfaces such as your computer keyboard, telephone and door handles to get rid of germs
Use tissues to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
Use a bin to dispose of your used tissues as soon as possible.
