job and finish,stiched up by managers/

Was anyone else promised job and finish on sat as a gesture of good will, we were, and got screwed big time. People came in early, worked through there meal breaks, and ran round only to be told when they got back that our mail centre had failed on 160,000 items and while we were out on del the lorries had turned up at all offices in our area codes, apparently the doughnuts who work on forcasting for royal mail predicted that this week would be very light, so the managers at the mail centre sent home all the casual staff a week early.,we spent the next 2 hours plus sorting until our finish time, so it looks like next week will be all about catch up, when will we ever learn not to believe.

or you could've took your 40 min break then sorted for 1hr 40 or went home sick

Or god forbid work your hours take your meal relief and at the end of the day say f**k off sorry if the truth hurts it's meant too!

The over running procedure is now out dated the four pillars should address this if not there can be no agreement for life is hard enough when you work here all your contracted hours!

Keyboard threats are childish on this issue. You were conned, simple as that. The point many are making is that the “offer” of going in early is taking the piss by a horrible twisted management. The proof of their actions was in the fact you returned to even more work they expected you to clear within contracted hours ! Managers speak with forked tongues, you took the bait, leopards don’t change their spots. Work your contracted hours, accept job and finish no longer exists and you will have then learned the easiest lesson within the modern delivery office workings. Dangled carrots are generally there to trap the deluded, and they are unedible.
Don’t throw out threats when stammer is only pointing out your own obvious failings! Suck it up !, and learn from your mistakes.

I don't see the problem here, they screwed you over, learn from it but don't forget it. They'll be looking goodwill from you before you will from them, finish on your time, let managers manage.
