Items Lost During Processing?

This Christmas i'm constantly having to put torn envelopes into apologies bags, in fact it's getting embarrassing Now i'm not accusing mailcentre staff of tampering (although unfortunately there are thieves in all walks of life) i guess it's more a case of cards not being sealed correctly and getting caught during processing. My question is what happens to all the items which are expelled from the envelopes, cash,vouchers ect... is there a tray to collect these items? I guess most of is impossible to reunite with the intended recipient.

There's post after post on Twitter showing pictures of torn cards with accusations of theft by RM staff, doesn't paint us in a very good light

Most cards come with substandard envelopes that just fall apart for no reason, unless it's a red one where the flap never sticks and it's impossible to easily read the addresses

All items will be sent to rlc in belfast sometimes they are reunited with intended recipitent but unfortunateley most items are not.

But how is it collected? Picked up off the floor? Machines shut down and cleaned out?

Are cash and vouchers sent to Belfast?

In my MPU, any item found in the CSS machines when they are being cleaned (doesn't happen very often over Christmas) gets handed into the RLE.
