mail being deliberately held back by mgmt to cut overtime
1st class mail being treated and classed same as 2nd class or anything else for that matter
service being deliberately run down to enable mgmt to achieve saving bonuses
trays and trays of mail left untouched today reason "no time to sort it"
its the 1st xmas without any sa on a sunday to get mail processed
mgmt trying to do it on the cheap
pt to return to normal hours from today absolute joke
dg and ka areas

Like any privatised business that's been before, the shareholders interests come first.

Worse thing that ever happened to this country was Thatcherism selling off all the countries nationalised industries, name one that's actually better for it.

British Telecom... when it was post office telephones, it was dire. If you wanted a telephone line you had to go on a waiting list of many months and then get offered a shared line.

This at Christmas! What a way to treat the customer that RM is supposed to care about,just disgusting!! Caring about the customer went out the window years ago.Just sheer greed on their part.Royal Mail you should hang your bloody heads in shame!!!!!!!!

Guess what… RM management and the shareholders couldn’t give a toss! Business is all about shafting the worker and the customer nowadays. Just look at Ryanair, still thousands of customers without compensation from their pilot shortage mess, yet the company still turns a healthy profit.

When I was in the job, not that long ago, it was clear office every day with nothing left. It was a crime if anything was left anywhere. But then that's when the gaffers had worked their way up the ladder and knew the job inside out. Sure the job had to change, like it always has had to do but royal mail are taking the piss big time. Half of the Dom's in the Glasgow area still look like spotty teenagers who have never had a paper round never mind a walk. Tozzers.

No extra vans, no packet drivers ,some posties out till 6 or7pm in pitch black . Even though we got 90per cent in the strike ballot they still carry on with the destructive penny pinching , and greed which is killing our company . Most of them have no people skills at all , desperate to get all the mail out to line there own pockets , despite the pressure they are putting on some posties too scared to say anything reg cutting off etc. Like most ppl whove been here a long time this has been the worst christmas i can think of . Rem the days of packet drivers , extra vans etc? If the union dont get a good deal were doomed . Merry christmas .

None of that happened in our office today. People working over to make sure all mail and packets get delivered so that everything is clear for Saturday. You all must work in s**t offices where the managers are pussies. Also, couple days ago (Tuesday, I think) the managers brought us all breakfast.
