lost my uncle on sat,will I get days special leave ok for funeral

No as he was not a direct blood relative.
although you should be able to swap your day off to be able to attend it.

I got a paid day's leave recently for my brother-in-law's funeral. I didn't have to take a day's holiday.

Would say no but it seems to differ from area to area alhough you should be granted a days leave.

Sorry for your loss, As others have pointed out, getting the day off for the funeral seems to be purely at the discretion of your manager/dom. I would like to think they'll try to work with you to try & come to some sort of arrangement to get you it off.

Bereavement: It’s an upsetting time when someone close to you passes away. Managers will do their best
to allow you time to deal with your loss.
• Your manager can provide you with up to one week’s paid leave for immediate family, e.g. next of kin or
blood relative (spouse, civil partner, child, parent or sibling), to support you during this difficult time.
• If a member of your family, e.g. grandparent or parent-in-law passes away, your manager can give you
one day’s paid leave to attend the funeral.
• For wider family or friends, you can agree with your manager whether to swap shifts, make up the
time, take unpaid leave or holiday.
