Also it isn't a deal, it hasn't been accepted by the Unions negotiators, all we have had are updates on progress.

Let’s be honest part timers are = 2nd class citizens in RM world.
What’s needed is not paid holiday but full time contracts.

Everyone in delivery north of watford has started part time & worked overtime to make up pay before getting chance to become full time it's not new.
This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

Was to me & know plenty who have done it considerably longer.bigal383 wrote:Were talking 7 years doing it and thats acceptable is it
The 35 hour week is good for part timers too as they get a pay rise over & above what full timers get plus makes difference between ft & pt hours less marked

The CWU have mentioned many tiles recently about how any agreement they reach will be to the advantage of part timers have you read anything or just saying you have

Not sure if you are asking me the question but I will say this.Creditshampoo wrote:The CWU have mentioned many tiles recently about how any agreement they reach will be to the advantage of part timers have you read anything or just saying you have
Every hour off the working week gives part timers an extra 2.5% pay rise compared to full timers i would class that as a advantage for part timers

Not only that but annual leave and anything pro rata like bounses and future share allocations but these would be few and far between but pensionable pay would increase but a pension for all should be the goal for all part time staff!gb93 wrote:Not sure if you are asking me the question but I will say this.Creditshampoo wrote:The CWU have mentioned many tiles recently about how any agreement they reach will be to the advantage of part timers have you read anything or just saying you have

I would call it a consequence not an advantage. The hourly rate increases for all.gb93 wrote:Not sure if you are asking me the question but I will say this.Creditshampoo wrote:The CWU have mentioned many tiles recently about how any agreement they reach will be to the advantage of part timers have you read anything or just saying you have

It is no advantage for Part Timers, Working overtime, who currently lose out on both holiday pay & pension contributions paid by the employer because they are only calculated on basic pay.
