I applied for Winter work also and got a message through to attend a group induction session a few days after applying on line.tenpole tudorsack wrote:I don't like promoting it but: www.royalmail.comdrevil1969uk wrote:i know most people hate them but how can people get to work for us during christmas? Is there any truth in the rumour that cosiderably more Christmas casuals are being recruited than usual this year, their main purpose being not the usual increased mail volumes but rather to clear the backlogs and also cover for the continuing unoffical strike action and any escolation of the dispute ?

It wouldn't surprise me.Lounge Lizard wrote:Is there any truth in the rumour that cosiderably more Christmas casuals are being recruited than usual this year, their main purpose being not the usual increased mail volumes but rather to clear the backlogs and also cover for the continuing unoffical strike action and any escolation of the dispute ?
However,
THIS WOULD BE ILLEGAL IF THE ACTION WAS OFFICIAL. Which is why I seriously doubt that we will see any ballot forms and a result announced before the new year.Lounge Lizard wrote:and also cover for the continuing unoffical strike action and any escolation of the dispute ?
