RM were all at our backs about scanning 2D barcodes, we even had lists put up on the notice board about how many % we are scanning and making sure we scanned 100 %.
Now with Christmas pressure starting there is not enough PDA's for all the staff. We have about 6 posties who have to use cards and the DOM says leave the 2 D barcodes because it would take too long writing them down and nobody to put them on the PDA's.
On another agenda our office hasn't got enough holiday slots for all the staff some had to carry over hoidays last year as well. How the hell can you catch up when there is not enough slots?

PDA shortage and Holidays
You surely don’t have to carry over your leave. You must have a minimum amount of time off a year

PDA shortage and Holidays
Our office didn't have enough holiday slots for a few years but it cleared up eventually when the staff numbers changed.

PDA shortage and Holidays
RM cannot legally force you to carry holiday over (neither can you insist that they allow you to). With mutual agreement some holiday may be carried over, but it must be mutual.eastie wrote: On another agenda our office hasn't got enough holiday slots for all the staff some had to carry over hoidays last year as well. You are legally entitled to take all your leave in the 'leave year' to which it pertains (for RM this is April-March). RM can dictate to you when that leave should be taken (although they should also make reasonable efforts to comply with requests for specific dates, which often they do not, spuriously citing 'operational needs', which is not the get out of jail card they imagine), but they have to find a way for you to take it in the leave year it is due.
This applies just as much to your contractual leave which is above the statutory minimum as it does the statutory minimum (another area that certain higher level managers seem to be in terrible confusion over).
